MAKING A DASH FOR THE CASH
It was up hill, down dale and through river as nine colleagues put their best feet forward for the annual four-and-three-quarter mile Dovedale Dash.
The event raises money for various local charities, but the Britannia team chose to run for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice at Blurton, near Stoke-on-Trent, and previous entrant Emma Mortimer, purchasing manager, put the team together.
“She would say she gently persuaded us, but I’d say she dragged us into it!” laughed a fellow runner, finance administrator Mary Leese.
Everyone completed the course in a respectable time and the team raised more than £700. They would like to thank their work colleagues who really have been astonishingly generous.
